Videography Techniques Showcase

This project, titled One Man’s Garbage, is meant to showcase different types of videography shots, which you can see highlighted in the top left corner of the video. I also took it upon myself to tell a simple story while using a wide variety of shots. Other than the acting done by my friend Saumya everything else was produced by myself. I wrote, filmed, and edited the video in its entirety. It was shot using a DSLR camera and nothing else other than a tripod. The lighting is all natural and the editing was done using Adobe Premier Pro. Part of the pre-production of the video was scouting out appropriate locations to film which means framing shots, thinking of lighting, and taking into account the practicality of the location as it had to be shot on campus at Algonquin College.
